Sandra Kosyk

Sharron Bowen

The process of creating art is both pleasurable and challenging, but it is mostly a continuous learning experience. My images are an expression of my soul, inspired by what I see and feel at a particular moment in time. I want to honour the beauty that surrounds us that is often overlooked. I think that Georgia O'Keefe said it best when she said "I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way, things I had no words for". Painting is no longer an option for me it simply has become my life's passion.

BIOGRAPHY
Sandra was born and educated in Montreal, Quebec. In 1992, she moved to Calgary with her family (husband and three children). She paints in acrylic and oils with a special interest in florals and the beautiful landscape that surrounds us in the Rockies. Her main goal is to explore the light, design and beauty of the ordinary to engage the viewer. Sandra loves to catch a story, a mood and special lights with her pallete of colours.

Sandra received her art education through Mount Royal University, University of Calgary, instructors and workshops. She is presently in a new venture in oil classes.

Sandra has shown her work in many group shows and can be found in many private collections throughout Canada.
