Anne Marie Gunst is a local artist who is influenced by classical art methods. After a trip to Italy, a few years ago, she completed many courses at ACAD. Teacher Mark Vasquez MacKay advised, “draw from life”. So began her passionate study of figurative drawing, painting and portraiture.

Now she paints in both oil an acrylic mediums. Sometimes she combines both! Although she studies realism, she loves to paint abstracts as well. Her artwork is a distillation of all she has learned.Presently, her education continues at the Atelier Artista  in Calgary.
