Janet is a native Calgarian.  Her background is teaching music but she started drawing while she was staying home to raise her children.  Since then, she has taken many drawing and painting classes in Calgary.

Most recently Janet has been enjoying the technique of collage or painting with paper.  She makes a set of papers – stamping, painting and splattering in a carefree way.  Unusual visual effects are allowed to happen.  Then she uses these papers in her design to give a conventional subject an unconventional look.
