Linda McClelland

Natural settings are the inspiration for many of Linda’s artistic expressions. She started quilting artistic wall hangings in 1995 with instructions from people such as Susan Carlson, Betty Lauden, and Kati Pasquini Masopust.

In order to produce more artistic pieces, she decided to study colour, design, and general techniques in water colour with Katy Morris and has worked with Katy for over fifteen years. She is a member of the Parkdale Art Club, the Calgary Community Painters’ Society, and the Jasper Plein-Air Watercolour Society. Linda has attended water colour workshops and demonstrations taught by Joy Tozer, Carol Day, Karin Richter, Natalie Kurzuk, and Donna Jo Massie.

Branching out to include acrylic techniques, she has studied with Jean Petersen, Sheila Schaetzle, and Robert Burridge. Linda’s paintings can be found in private collections throughout Canada and the United States.
